I studied drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, philosophy, French, theatre,
printmaking and photography, not in that order.

My love for collage and the ability to combine several mediums began in high school.
Influences: Marcel Duchamp, Joseph Cornell, Cy Twombly, Antoni Tapies, Kurt Schwitters,
and Jackson Pollock.

My work is about the feelings, thoughts and ideas at the time of conception and during the creative process.
The juxtaposition of objects, images, color and texture are of prime importance.

Events, ideas and dreams are sometimes a starting point for a piece of art. Color and texture are paramount and I try to allow each piece to develop and morph into its own presence. Whether painting, creating a collage, or making sculpture, it is a similar voyage. I embrace accidental results and am always searching for the magic which occasionally happens during the creative process.
